Acne Treatment
Acne is a condition that develops once the skin has an abnormal secretion of oil which can also be called 'sebum'. The oil gland also produces keratinized cells, often an oily acne-prone skin overproduces these. This leads to blockages in the external layers of the skin called the epidermis, in such a blockage an unusual growth of bacteria can occur which then will result in a blackhead.
The Aloe Vera plant’s antiseptic and antifungal properties, combined with the hydration and strengthening effect of mannans, allow Aloe Vera to address the various symptoms and effects of acne on many levels. Aloe Vera, thus, can:
- heal the inflammation and soothe the skin;
- stimulate the production of new tissue; and
- assist with the healing of scarring and redness.
