Our Certifications — Independently Verified

Plenty of brands say “natural” or “organic.” Curaloe can prove it. Our aloe — Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller), grown and cold-pressed at our plantation in Vivo, Limpopo Province — carries independent certifications from accredited bodies, and you can verify the most important one yourself. All certificates are held by African Caribbean Aloe Products (Pty) Ltd (ACAP), the producer behind Curaloe.

Certified organic — and independently verifiable

Curaloe is South Africa's only NOP- and EcoCert-certified-organic Aloe barbadensis Miller grower. Our aloe is certified organic by Ecocert to two independent standards:

• USDA National Organic Program (NOP) — certifier Ecocert SAS, certificate 216720260428073102 (Operation ID 7880216720). Scope: CROPS (organic Aloe vera + Bulbine Frutescens) and HANDLING (organic aloe concentrate, inner-leaf dice, liquid, rind tea and spray-dried powder). Verify it live in the official USDA Organic Integrity Database — operation status: Certified.
• EU Organic — Ecocert SAS (ZA-BIO-154), certificate ZA-BIO-154.710-0000086.2026.003, valid to 31 March 2027. Covers production and preparation of organic Aloe vera under EU Reg. 2018/848 — this is the grower/cultivation organic certificate.

Certified-organic cosmetics

• Ecocert COSMOS Organic (v4) — Ecocert Greenlife S.A.S., certificate 216720/92/211020250924, valid to 31 March 2027. Certifies our organic skincare range (cleansing and care), including the Soothing Aloe Gel, Hydra Restore Cream & Mask, Age-Defying Cream, Anti-Pollution Serum and more.

Dietary & faith certifications

• Kosher — Beth Din of South Africa (Kosher SA), certificate JHBBD-K2026/267277, Parev / Mehadrin, valid to 31 January 2027. Covers the Curaloe aloe vera juice and the full natural & organic aloe range.
• Halaal — South African National Halaal Authority (SANHA), reference GP/MF/0426/002, valid to 30 April 2027. Covers the Curaloe Organic Aloe Vera Capsules 60's and Aloe Vera Juice (500ml & 1L), among others.

Food safety & provenance

• Food Safety (GFSI) — Intertek, certificate 0224369, valid to 21 August 2026. GFSI Global Markets programme covering HACCP (SANS 10330), prerequisite programmes (SANS 10049) and ISO 22000 across receiving, cleaning, cutting, manufacturing, packaging, storage and distribution of our aloe products.
• Proudly South African — member C05021, valid to 11 October 2026. Curaloe is a verified Proudly SA member: grown, harvested and made in South Africa.

Why this matters

Most aloe products made in South Africa use wild-harvested Aloe ferox, and few carry a named, accredited organic certificate. Curaloe is different: a single cultivated species — Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) — that is certified organic by Ecocert and verifiable in the official USDA registry.
