- πΏπ¦ Grown, pressed and bottled in South Africa at our own ACAP plantation

- β HACCP, Ecocert, Kosher, Halal certified β the processing standard matters
Why the 500ml exists
Not every situation suits a 1L bottle. If you're starting a daily aloe juice routine and want to test it for a week before committing, the 500ml is the right onramp. If you travel often, road-trip through the Limpopo, or stay in hotels without a full fridge, the 500ml fits where the 1L doesn't.
It's not a watered-down version. It's not a different recipe. It's the same juice, in a smaller bottle.
From our plantation to your glass
This is cold-pressed inner-leaf Aloe barbadensis Miller, hand-harvested at 3β5 years of maturity on our ACAP plantation in Limpopo Province, South Africa. Every leaf is cut at dawn, filleted within hours, and cold-pressed on-site to preserve the natural polysaccharides, vitamins and minerals that give quality aloe juice its character.
We don't source, blend or reconstitute. We grow the plant, press the gel, bottle the product β all in one place.
What's inside
- *98% cold-pressed Aloe barbadensis Miller juice* (decolourised, inner-leaf only)
- Citric acid (natural preservative, 0.2%)
- Potassium sorbate (food-grade preservative, 0.1%)
- Purified water
No added sugar. No alcohol. No artificial flavours, colours or fragrances. No GMO ingredients.
How people use it
Aloe barbadensis juice has a long tradition of daily use as part of a balanced lifestyle. The 500ml format works particularly well for:
- Travel β fits in a hotel mini-bar, easier for weekend stays
- Trial period β testing a daily routine for 1-2 weeks before committing to the 1L
- Second bottle β keeping one in the car, the gym bag, or at the office
- Family households β opening a fresh bottle more often when multiple people drink from it
- Smoothie use β single-recipe portions for seasonal aloe smoothies
Suggested serving: 30β60 ml per day, taken with a full glass of water. Shake well before use. A 500ml bottle covers approximately 8-16 daily servings.
Who this is for
Adults looking for the same single-species cold-pressed aloe juice we produce, in a more flexible format. Especially relevant if you:
- Travel regularly and need a daily routine that fits the road
- Are new to aloe juice and want to try it before committing to a larger bottle
- Already drink our 1L and want a back-up or second-location bottle
- Need flexibility for variable use patterns (some weeks more, some weeks less)
Who this is not for
- Children under 10 years of age (we recommend consulting a paediatric professional first)
- Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals (please consult your healthcare provider before use)
- Individuals with kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, or those on prescription medication β always check with your doctor
- Anyone with a known sensitivity to aloe or related Asphodelaceae plants
Storage & shelf life
Refrigerate after opening. Best consumed within 30 days of opening β the 500ml format makes this easier than the 1L for single-drinker households. Unopened: store in a cool, dark place. Do not freeze. Best-before date printed on the bottle base.
What makes it different from supermarket "aloe drinks"
Most aloe juice on the supermarket shelf is reconstituted from imported powder or blended with water to meet price points. Ours is cold-pressed from fresh leaves on our own plantation within hours of harvest. The result is juice with intact acemannan β the long-chain polysaccharide specific to Aloe barbadensis β rather than the fragmented byproducts of industrial drying-and-rehydration cycles.
The full explanation lives in our cold-pressed vs reconstituted post.
FAQ
Is this the same juice as the 1L bottle, just smaller? Yes β same farm, same harvest cycle, same cold-press, same processing pipeline. The only difference is bottle size.
Why would I choose this over the 1L? The 500ml is better if you travel often, want to test the routine before committing, need flexibility in your fridge space, or live in a single-person household where a 1L opens-and-sits longer than ideal.
Can I take this on a plane? For domestic SA flights: yes, no current liquid restriction. For international flights: 500ml is over the 100ml hand-luggage limit, so it must go in checked baggage. Our travel-friendly aloe post covers the full airline cheat sheet.
How long does a 500ml bottle last at the recommended dose? At 30ml per day, approximately 16 days. At 60ml per day, approximately 8 days. Refrigerate after opening and consume within 30 days for best quality.
What's the cost per serving compared to the 1L? The 1L bottle has a lower per-serving cost. The 500ml costs slightly more per ml but solves use cases (travel, trial, fridge-friendly) the 1L doesn't.
Is it safe for daily use? For healthy adults, yes. It's decolourised (aloin reduced) and formulated for daily drinking. Pregnant, breastfeeding, or anyone on chronic medication should consult their healthcare provider first.
Where is this product made? Grown, cold-pressed and bottled in South Africa, on the ACAP plantation and processing facility in Limpopo Province.

Our aloe: certified-organic Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller)
The aloe in Curaloe products is our own Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) β the βtrue aloeβ prized in skincare and wellness, not the wild Aloe ferox that most South African aloe brands use. We grow it ourselves and cold-press it within hours of hand-harvest at our plantation in Vivo, Limpopo Province, South Africa.
That aloe is certified organic by Ecocert to both the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) and EU organic standards. Curaloe is the consumer brand of African Caribbean Aloe Products (ACAP). Why Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller)?
