From our plantation to your glass
Curaloe Aloe Vera Juice 1L is made from inner-leaf Aloe barbadensis Miller, harvested at 3β5 years of maturity on our ACAP plantation in South Africa. Every leaf is hand-cut, filleted within hours and cold-pressed to preserve the natural polysaccharides, vitamins and minerals that give quality aloe juice its structure.
We don't source, blend or reconstitute. We grow the plant, press the gel, bottle the product β all in one place. That farm-to-bottle control is what makes this a 98% pure aloe juice rather than an aloe-flavoured drink.
What's inside
- 98% cold-pressed Aloe Barbadensis Miller juice (decolourised, inner-leaf)
- Citric acid (natural preservative, 0.2%)
- Potassium sorbate (food-grade preservative, 0.1%)
- Purified water
No added sugar. No alcohol. No artificial flavours, colours or fragrances. No GMO ingredients.
How people use it

- A morning wellness ritual on an empty stomach
- A post-workout or post-sun hydration drink
- A mixer in smoothies or citrus juices
- A gentle addition to a daily routine that includes fibre, water and movement
Suggested serving: 30β60 ml per day, taken with a full glass of water. Shake well before use.
Who this is for
Adults looking for a traditional aloe-based wellness drink grown and produced at source, with a certified, transparent ingredient list. Especially relevant if you value:
- Single-species clarity. The label specifies Aloe barbadensis Miller, not a generic blend.
- South African provenance. Grown, processed and bottled locally.
- Decolourised processing. The aloin has been substantially reduced, making daily use feasible.
Who this is not for
- Children under 10 years of age (we recommend consulting a paediatric professional first)
- Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals (please consult your healthcare provider before use)
- Individuals with kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, or those on prescription medication β always check with your doctor
- Anyone with a known sensitivity to aloe or related Asphodelaceae plants
Storage & shelf life
Refrigerate after opening. Best consumed within 30 days of opening. Unopened: store in a cool, dark place. Do not freeze. Best-before date printed on the bottle base.
Why this juice is different
Most aloe juice on the supermarket shelf is reconstituted from powder or blended with water to meet price points. Ours is cold-pressed from fresh leaves on our own plantation within hours of harvest β a production method that keeps acemannan, the long-chain polysaccharide unique to Aloe barbadensis, intact.
Our processing facility holds HACCP, Ecocert (NOP), Kosher and Halal certifications. You can request our latest third-party batch test at hello@curaloe.co.za.
FAQ
Is this juice safe for daily use? For healthy adults, yes. It is decolourised (aloin reduced) and formulated for daily drinking. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under medical care, or have a chronic condition, please consult your healthcare provider first.
What's the difference between Aloe Barbadensis and Aloe Ferox juice? Aloe Barbadensis Miller ("true aloe vera") has the highest research base for topical and daily-use applications, and the highest acemannan content. Aloe Ferox is indigenous to South Africa and historically used as a laxative due to its high aloin content. Read our full guide: Aloe Barbadensis vs Aloe Ferox: The Science.
Why 98% and not 100%? Pure aloe juice oxidises rapidly once bottled. The remaining 2% is a minimal preservation system (citric acid + potassium sorbate + water) designed to keep the aloe content stable without compromising the profile. A "100% aloe" claim in a shelf-stable bottle is, in practice, a blend.
Where is this product made? Grown, cold-pressed and bottled in South Africa, on the ACAP plantation and processing facility in Vivo, Limpopo.
How should I store it? Unopened bottles keep in a cool, dark place. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 30 days. Don't freeze.
Does it taste good? It tastes like what it is β mildly bitter, slightly earthy, clean. Many people prefer it mixed with fruit juice, lemon water or in a smoothie.

Our aloe: certified-organic Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller)
The aloe in Curaloe products is our own Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) β the βtrue aloeβ prized in skincare and wellness, not the wild Aloe ferox that most South African aloe brands use. We grow it ourselves and cold-press it within hours of hand-harvest at our plantation in Vivo, Limpopo Province, South Africa.
That aloe is certified organic by Ecocert to both the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) and EU organic standards. Curaloe is the consumer brand of African Caribbean Aloe Products (ACAP). Why Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller)?
