How people use it
A long tradition of daily use as part of a balanced lifestyle. The 500ml works well for travel, a 1β2 week trial before committing to the 1L, a second bottle for the car or office, and single-recipe portions for aloe smoothies. Suggested serving: 30β60 ml per day with a full glass of water; shake well. A 500ml bottle covers roughly 8β16 daily servings.
Who this is not for
- Children under 10 (consult a paediatric professional first)
- Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals (consult your healthcare provider before use)
- Individuals with kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, or those on prescription medication β always check with your doctor
- Anyone with a known sensitivity to aloe or related Asphodelaceae plants
Storage & shelf life
Refrigerate after opening and consume within 30 days β easier in the 500ml than the 1L for single-drinker households. Unopened: store in a cool, dark place; do not freeze. Best-before date on the bottle base.
FAQ
Is this the same juice as the 1L, just smaller? Yes β same farm, same harvest cycle, same cold-press, same processing. Only the bottle size differs.
Can I take this on a plane? Domestic SA flights: yes. International: 500ml is over the 100ml hand-luggage limit, so it goes in checked baggage. See our travel-friendly aloe post.
How long does a bottle last? About 16 days at 30 ml/day, 8 days at 60 ml/day. Refrigerate after opening and use within 30 days.
Is it suitable for daily use? For healthy adults, yes β it's decolourised (aloin reduced) and formulated for daily drinking. Pregnant, breastfeeding or anyone on chronic medication should consult their healthcare provider first.
Where is it made? Grown, cold-pressed and bottled in South Africa, on the ACAP plantation and processing facility in Limpopo.
Our aloe: certified-organic Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller)
The aloe in Curaloe products is our own Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) β the "true aloe" prized in skincare and wellness, not the wild Aloe ferox that most South African aloe brands use. We grow it ourselves and cold-press it within hours of hand-harvest at our plantation in Vivo, Limpopo Province, South Africa.
That aloe is certified organic by Ecocert to both the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) and EU organic standards. Curaloe is the consumer brand of African Caribbean Aloe Products (ACAP). Why Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller)?
